Roller Sand Mixer

Efficiency Roller Type Green Sand Mixers (Sand Mullers)
Traditional Reliability | Superior Clay Activation | Factory-Direct Durability
Roller Sand Mixers (S11 Series) are the backbone of high-quality green sand preparation. Designed for the rigorous demands of iron, steel, and non-ferrous foundries, our mullers combine high-pressure rolling with efficient scraping to ensure that bentonite and water are perfectly “kneaded” into the sand grains. The result is a molding sand with high green strength, excellent permeability, and superior flowability.
Roller sand mixer is a type of machine used in foundries to mix molding sand with binders, water, and other additives to prepare it for use in metal casting. This mixer employs heavy rollers to compress, grind, and mix the sand, ensuring a homogenous mixture with the desired properties for creating molds and cores.

Batch Typr Roller Sand Mixing Machine Key Components

Mixing Pan:
A circular or shallow container where sand, water, and additives are placed for mixing.
Rollers:
Large, heavy, cylindrical or wheel-shaped components that rotate over the sand mixture.
The weight of the rollers compresses and grinds the materials, ensuring proper mixing.
Scrapers or Plows:
Located in the pan to direct sand toward the rollers for thorough mixing.
Prevents the mixture from sticking to the pan walls.
Drive System:
Motor-driven mechanism that powers the rollers’ rotation.

The Bestech Factory Advantage
Direct sourcing from our manufacturing facility ensures you receive a machine built with the heavy-cast components and precision engineering required for decades of service.
Pressure-Adjustable Mulling Wheels: Our rollers are equipped with spring-loaded suspension systems. This allows operators to adjust the mulling pressure based on the sand type, ensuring optimal clay activation without crushing the silica grains.
Tungsten Carbide Scrapers: The most frequent wear-point in any mixer is the scraper. We use Tungsten Carbide (WC) surfaced blades that last 5–8 times longer than standard manganese steel, significantly reducing your maintenance downtime.
Reinforced Gearbox Engineering: We utilize specialized, high-torque reduction gearboxes specifically designed for the high-friction environment of wet sand mixing. Our gears are oil-bath lubricated for silent, cool operation.
Replaceable Diabase/Basalt Liners: To protect the main bowl, we offer optional high-wear stone or alloy liners that can be easily replaced, essentially giving you a “new” machine every few years at a fraction of the cost.

Whatever your needs, we’re here to make it happen.
Roller sand mixer is particularly useful in foundries where sand requires thorough mixing and compaction, ensuring it holds its shape well for metal casting molds
Working Principle
Raw materials (sand, binder, water, etc.) are placed in the mixing pan.
The rollers rotate, crushing and grinding the mixture under their weight.
Scrapers ensure that all parts of the mixture pass under the rollers evenly.
After sufficient mixing, the prepared sand is discharged for use.
